IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3 insulin-like growth factor-1) is a 70-amino-acid analogue of native IGF-1 engineered with an arginine substitution at position 3 and an N-terminal extension. The modifications are studied for altered binding and extended research half-life relative to native IGF-1 in cell-culture and preclinical growth-factor models.
